Portugal on stamps

This definitive issue depicts typical houses from different regions of Portugal, well adapted to their surroundings (e.g. the heat in the Alentejo plains) and their inhabitants’ work, farming or fishing (in the case of Beira Litoral).

The stamps were designed by José Luís Tinoco, lithographed by the Mint on enamelled paper sheets of 10×10 stamps with perforation 12×12½ and a left vertical phosphor band, and circulated from 20 August 1985 to 31 August 1995.
