This issue presents ten sculptures from different periods and museums. Four of the sculptures are on the miniature sheet, which I don’t have. The stone Angel was found in the Cathedral of Porto. Batista’s “Construction” may seem a wood sculpture, but is actually made of iron and limestone.
- Angel of the Annunciation (12th Cent.), Machado de Castro Museum, Coimbra
- St. Mark (Cornelius de Holanda, 16th Cent.), Ancient Art Museum, Lisbon
- Madonna And Child (17th Cent.), Cardais Convent, Lisbon

The stamps were designed by Vítor Santos, lithographed by the Mint on enamelled paper sheets of 5×10 stamps with perforation 12×12½, and circulated from 18 August 1993 to 31 March 1999.
