Portugal on stamps

This issue pictures the castles of Almourol, Bragança, Feira, Guimarães, Leiria, Lisbon, Ourém and Silves, all of them national monuments.

The stamps were designed by José Cottinelli Telmo, engraved by Karl Bicker, printed in recess by Courvoisier in Switzerland on wove paper sheets of 5×5 stamps with perforation 11½, and circulated from 1 June 1946 to 8 August 1950.
