Portugal on stamps

This issue of definitive stamps covers the postage needed for a letter to Portugal by normal (€0.30) or first-class post (€0.45), to Europe (€0.57) and the rest of the world (€0.74). The stamps show stylized depictions of masks used in pagan folk celebrations in five different villages, mostly in the region of Bragança.

The stamps were designed by Carlos Leitão and Atelier Acácio Santos, lithographed by the Mint on enamelled paper sheets of 10×10 stamps with perforation 12¾×12½, and issued on 17 February 2005.
