Portugal on stamps

This Europa issue illustrates the gastronomy theme given by PostEurop with two regional dishes each from Continental Portugal, the Azores, and Madeira. The available space on the miniature sheets was put to good use, by including the dish’s recipe in English and Portuguese.

The stamps were designed by Atelier Acácio Santos, with photos by Homem Cardoso, lithographed by Joh. Enschedé on enamelled paper sheets of 5×10 stamps with perforation 14×14¼, and were issued on 5 May 2005.
