The Department of Computing of the Open University, part of the Centre for Research in Computing (CRC), is currently seeking outstanding graduates to join the PhD and the MPhil programmes in October 2010. The CRC achieved excellent results in the UK-wide 2008 Research Assessment Exercise.
Candidates can register for part-time off-campus PhD/MPhil study, or apply for a studentship for full-time 3-year on-campus PhD research in Milton Keynes, UK. Studentships will be allocated competitively among all applicants in any of the areas covered by the Department of Computing, which include software engineering and design, human-centred computing, and natural language processing. This year there are additional Charter Studentships to celebrate the Open University’s 40th Anniversary.
